FlexDMD missing
What it means
Tables that need FlexDMD will run without their score display, or throw a script error at launch.
Why it happens
One or more table scripts create a FlexDMD object to drive their virtual DMD/score display, but FlexDMD.dll itself was never installed and registered on this machine.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
At least one script calls CreateObject("FlexDMD...") but no FlexDMD binary is found under the install.
What to do
- FlexDMD is the component that draws the DMD for some recent tables. Without it, those tables start with an empty DMD or crash on launch.
- Download FlexDMD from its official repository (github.com/vbousquet/flexdmd, Releases).
- Fully close Visual Pinball and PinUP Popper.
- Extract the archive into a permanent folder — NOT Downloads, not the Desktop: if you move it later, everything breaks again.
- Right-click each extracted file, Properties, tick "Unblock" if Windows offers it.
- In that folder, right-click "FlexDMD.exe", choose "Run as administrator", then follow the registration option. That step is what declares the component to Windows.
- Run a new scan.
