ROMs folder not found
What it means
Every ROM-related check was skipped — the scanner can't tell which ROMs you actually have.
Why it happens
VPinMAME keeps all ROM zips in its own roms folder — without locating that folder, there's nothing to compare a table's required ROM against.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
No folder literally named roms could be located under VPinMAME's installed location.
What to do
Pincab Toolbox could not find VPinMAME's roms folder. Without it no ROM check is possible, and VPinMAME itself will find nothing.
- Open the VPinMAME folder and see whether it holds a "roms" subfolder. If not, create it: it must be named exactly "roms", lower case.
- If your ROMs live elsewhere (another drive, say), VPinMAME must be told: run "Setup.exe" from the VPinMAME folder.
- In the window that opens, find the ROM path setting and point it at the real folder.
- Confirm, close, then run a new scan.
- If you cannot find that setting, the simplest fix is to move your ROMs into the "roms" folder next to VPinMAME: that is where the whole ecosystem expects them.
