64-bit display component missing
What it means
Your external display will not work while this file is missing.
Why it happens
This file comes from a third-party project: we check that it is present and correct, but we never supply it.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
The expected 64-bit file is absent next to its 32-bit counterpart.
What to do
Your 64-bit Visual Pinball is installed, but the file that drives an external DMD in 64-bit (dmddevice64.dll) is missing. Your physical DMD stays dark when a table starts from 64-bit VPX.
- If you do NOT have a physical DMD connected, this line does not concern you: ignore it.
- If you do: identify your DMD brand (ZeDMD, PinDMD, Pin2DMD…). It is printed on the board or in the vendor documentation.
- Download the matching 64-bit driver from that DMD's official site.
- Close Visual Pinball and PinUP Popper.
- Extract, then right-click each file, Properties, "Unblock" if Windows offers it.
- Copy "dmddevice64.dll" into your VPinMAME folder, next to the existing dmddevice.dll. Do not replace the old one: both live side by side, one for 32-bit, one for 64.
- Run a new scan.
