Disk almost full
What it means
Your disk is close to full, and that alone can make tables behave as if they were broken.
Why it happens
Visual Pinball loads large textures and streams video right at launch. On a nearly full disk this fails in ways that look like a broken table rather than a full drive.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
Free space on the drive holding your Tables folder has dropped under 5 GB.
What to do
- The drive holding your install is nearly full. A pincab short on space stalls when loading videos, with no error message.
- Open File Explorer, right-click the drive, then Properties, to see the free space.
- The biggest win almost always comes from PinUP Popper media: the POPMedia folder and PuP-Packs. A single table with its PuP-Pack can weigh several gigabytes.
- If you have a second drive, move the media there rather than deleting it. Pincab Toolbox offers an automatic repair for that — look for the "media on a second disk" line in the Repair tab.
- Empty the Recycle Bin too: deleted files still take space until you do.
- Aim for at least 10% of the drive free, and 20 GB minimum if you use PuP-Packs.
