AltSound sample missing
What it means
Some AltSound cues for this table will stay silent, or the sound pack may fail to load at all.
Why it happens
The altsound.csv manifest for this ROM lists sound files it expects to find — some of the ones it references simply aren't in the folder.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
One or more sample files named in altsound.csv don't exist in this ROM's altsound folder.
What to do
This ROM's alternative sound pack lists files that are not on disk. Some sounds are missing in game, or the table goes silent at times.
- Open VPinMAME's "altsound" folder, then the subfolder named after the ROM. The exact path is in the Diagnostic tab.
- Open "altsound.csv" with Notepad. The file-name column lists what the pack expects.
- Compare with the files actually there. The most common cause is a half-extracted archive.
- Re-download the full pack and extract ALL files into the folder named after the ROM, not into an extra subfolder.
- If you edited altsound.csv by hand, check no name has an extra space or an accented character.
- Run a new scan.
