Damaged backglass file
What it means
This backglass won't appear at all — the file itself is broken, not just misconfigured.
Why it happens
A .directb2s file is really an XML document. This one isn't well-formed XML, so B2S Backglass Server refuses to open it.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
The file's raw content fails a well-formed-XML check.
What to do
This table's backglass file is damaged: it is no longer valid XML. B2S will refuse to load it and show an error like "not a valid directb2s backglass file".
- This file cannot be fixed by hand: its internal structure is broken, usually by an interrupted download or a copy from a failing USB stick.
- Find the .directb2s file named in the Pincab Toolbox scan result. It sits in your Tables folder, next to the table.
- Rename it by adding ".broken" at the end, rather than deleting it. If the new one does not suit you, you can go back.
- Re-download the backglass from vpuniverse.com or from the page the table came from.
- Put the new .directb2s in the Tables folder, with EXACTLY the same name as the table (without the extension).
- Run a new scan.
