Visual Pinball too old for this table
What it means
This specific table has confirmed it needs a newer Visual Pinball than the one actually installed.
Why it happens
Unlike a simple version mention, this reads the real file version of your installed VPX executable and compares it directly against what the table declares — this is a confirmed shortfall, not a guess.
How Pincab Toolbox detects it
The installed VPX's file version is strictly below the minimum version this table's script declares.
What to do
- Note the version the table asks for, given in the Pincab Toolbox scan result.
- FIRST: copy your whole Visual Pinball folder to an external drive or another folder. A VPX update can change how tables that used to work behave.
- Download the requested version from the official Visual Pinball repository (github.com/vpinball/vpinball, Releases).
- Fully close Visual Pinball AND PinUP Popper. Check in Task Manager that neither is still running.
- Install the new version in a SEPARATE folder, not over the old one. That way you can go back in one second.
- In PinUP Popper, point the VPX emulator path at the new folder.
- Test TWO OR THREE tables you know well before concluding everything is fine.
